I have always been a strong believer in the power of one – one idea, one focus, one heart, one mind, one plan, one determination, one person.

Do you believe that one person can make a difference? Watch the two minute video below. Remember, being an influencer has nothing to do with your age or place in life.

I saw the video at Dr. Frank Buck’s blog and it clearly demonstrates the power of one.

QUESTION: What are your reactions to the video? Please post comments below.

India maybe; don't think it would happen in America, not even on a dry day.

I particularly enjoyed this video. It reflects what Harry Truman said about leadership. "To be able to lead others, a man must be willing to go forward alone."

My experience is that leaders lead because that is who they are at their core. They do not lead because they are tasked with being a leader. To find leaders, look to those who are doing the things no else will do because that is what they were going to do anyway. The boy in the video had no expectation that anyone would follow, he did what he did because to him, it made sense. Sometimes leadership is that simple. Simply put, leaders lead!

Thanks for the comments. I think you nailed the thesis of the video. I think leaders are oftentimes too calculated in their actions. That's a simple way to put it: "Leaders lead!"
